The Museums

The ethnographic museum “sa domu de s’olia” and the museum “vecchi frantoi” house two antique olive presses for the grinding of the olives, these are witnesses of an agricultural vocation and an olive cultivation heritage with millennial trees that have only survived in part the repeated fires of the past decades.
The ethnographic museum houses the most antique olive press still in situ, on the ground floor of an historical building, next to a collection of tools and objects linked to the olive oil production and other agricultural activities.
On the upper floors, in the old rooms there are arranged the furnishing and the objects for domestic usage including toys for children, and there are exhibited traditional costumes.
The museum “vecchi frantoi” is another example of an oil mill in a reconstructed environment following the old architectural typology, along the village's main street, which has been used several times to arrange cultural exhibitions and events.
